Beacon Hill Real Estate

Despite close to 80% of Beacon Hill being decimated in the 2016 wildfire, the residents of the area have been quick to plan and rebuild the area back to the thriving community it was before. The pre-fire community of Beacon Hill was a mature neighbourhood that had a real estate market filled with a variety of manufactured homes, single-family homes, and townhouses. The wide, well-lit and tree-lined streets are reasonably quiet, largely because the area doesn’t directly feed into any of the surrounding communities.

Why buy a home in Beacon Hill?

The area presents a great opportunity to purchase and build a dream home on a serviced and ready-to-go vacant lot. Most of the lots are available for affordable prices and some of them are centrally located to great local amenities including the Frank Lacroix hockey arena, the two local schools, park space and the local dog park.

Are there pre-existing homes in Beacon Hill?

There are many Beacon Hill homes for sale that came through the 2016 fire completely unscathed. One type of home you might encounter would be a spacious five bedroom, three bathroom bungalow that was built in the 1970s. These types of homes tend to have undergone extensive renovations and have newer kitchens. Those kitchens usually have an abundance of counter and cupboard space, which is perfect for storing away your kitchen gadgets or Tupperware collections. The bungalow-style homes might also have large master suites, gas fireplaces, and a fully fenced yard, so that you can let the kids and pets run to their heart’s content.
